Why to hire a wedding planner

I realize that I’m a bit biased to be the one writing this article, but I honestly believe in the service that a wedding planner offers their clients. Here are the top 5 reasons I would suggest everyone (yes, even you planning a very small wedding) should hire a Wedding Planner.

1. It's an investment on your investment. Your wedding day will likely be the most expensive event that you ever host, and not to mention one of the most stressful events you'll ever organize. The way I see it is that if you have someone for all of your vendors to check in with, who will also make sure you're timeline is running smoothly, you'll have the freedom to enjoy your event instead of worrying about when you need to set up your center pieces.

2. We can save you money. Hire a Wedding Coordinator that knows the wedding industry and he/she can save you money in a few different ways. He / she might work with different vendors who offer their clients special discounts. Your Coordinator will also give you a hand looking over different invoices / agreements with various vendors and can help you utilize their services.

3. Give your mom a break. There are hours of setup & teardown that come with a wedding. Unfortunately, if you haven't hired someone to do this work it will be your mom or your best friend who stay late at the venue to move & stack 150 chairs or collect 15 different center pieces. The peace of mind that I offer my couples so that they (and their parents) can enjoy the event that they just invested so much money in is priceless. Pour your mom a Mimosa and let someone else set up the chairs.

4. We'll give you the perfect timing. There are many different moving parts during a wedding day, and many different vendors that are working within a window of time to provide you with their service. The coordination of these moving parts, along with being a friendly face that vendors can check in with is invaluable to help your wedding day move smoothly. I make sure your food is served while it's still hot, and your photographer doesn't leave until they have that last shot of your perfect sparkler exit.

5. Have amazing Vendors. One of the biggest resources that I offer my clients is a Preferred Vendor List. After four years of experience in the wedding industry, and five years in the event planning industry, I've worked with my fair share of different vendors. Within this experience I have been both blown away, and sorely disappointed in vendors and venues that I've worked with. Out of this I've created an exclusive list of Caterers, Photographers, florists, hair & makeup artists, and DJ's that I've had great experiences with. In my opinion this is one of the most valuable things that I can offer my couples. The internet is a vast, and at times deceitful place when it comes to planning your wedding, and just because the florist that you've hired has a well written and aesthetically pleasing website, doesn't mean that they'll be at the venue on time to set up the ceremony arch that you paid for.
