Lets Talk About Day Of Coordination...

2021 will be the first season we no longer offer this service to our couples & we’ve gotten a lot of questions as to why - so here is my shorthand spiel.

In my experience, there are handfuls of couples who feel that they are perfectly capable of planning the wedding day, and just need a little help with the execution. I too was one of these brides - I love event planning (obviously) and felt perfectly inept to handle planning our small wedding. However, as anyone who works in the wedding industry / has had a wedding knows, planning & executing a wedding is an absolute beast. There are so many moving pieces, so many different vendors and options to decide on, so many things that can be overlooked if you’ve never planned a wedding before. 

As a Day of Coordinator, we were stepping into an event that was nearly the finished product and expected to manage any issues that came up from vendors / decisions that were sometimes poorly decided on. There were times when we walked into a wedding day, trying to coordinate with a team of vendors who had absolutely no experience working in the wedding industry and did not do their jobs appropriately - and were unfairly expected to manage the gaps of the jobs they did not complete. We’ve been handed buckets & buckets of decor that we were never told about & expected to have everything set up and completed in unreasonable amounts of time. We’ve worked with DJ’s who refused to follow our timelines, or showed up with no sound equipment, florists who refused to set up the receptions, Band’s who showed up hours late.

From these experiences, our team has created a list of vendors & venues that we feel we can do our job to the best of our ability within. We can help you find a catering team that will make you the meal of your wedding dreams, but will also provide enough staff to serve that meal on time & warm. We can help you find the florist who creates the backdrop for your arch that you love, but will also be there on time to set it up - insuring that the flowers won’t be wilted for your photos. But all of this requires more time & commitment from us than a Day Of Coordination package allows. So to be fair to my team, our brand, and the level of service I expect we offer we no longer offer a day of, or month of wedding day package option. With more time we can give more attention to detail, which in turn means a more seamless, gorgeous wedding day for you.
